Shia LaBeouf reveals Megan Fox 'couldn't handle' Transformers director Michael Bay's risqué demands

Transformers actor Shia LaBeouf has shed some light on the famous falling out between actress Megan Fox and Transformers director Michael Bay.

The film's male star says that the 25-year-old raven-haired actress couldn't handle Bay's sultry shooting requirements.

The 24-year-old believes that Bay's filming demands weren't in line with Fox's perception on how females should be treated, and that the director lacked the tact to be compassionate about it.
'Megan developed this Spice Girl strength, this woman-empowerment stuff that made her feel awkward about her involvement with Michael, who some people think is a very lascivious filmmaker, the way he films women,' he told the Los Angeles Times.

'Mike films women in a way that appeals to a 16-year-old sexuality. It's summer. It's Michael's style. And I think she never got comfortable with it.

'This is is a girl who was taken from complete obscurity and placed in a sex-driven role in front of the whole world and told she was the sexiest woman in America.
Filmaking style: LaBeouf describes Bay as 'lacking in tact'

'And she had a hard time accepting it. When Mike would ask her to do specific things, there was no time for fluffy talk. We're on the run. And the one thing Mike lacks is tact.

'There's no time for... 'I would like you to just arch your back 70 degrees.'

Megan famously revealed that she found it difficult to work with the Hollywood director after appearing in two of the Transformers films.

In 2009, she said: 'He's like Napoleon and he wants to create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation.

'He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he's a nightmare to work for, but when you get him away from set, and he's not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he's so awkward, so hopelessly awkward. He has no social skills at all. And it's endearing to watch him.'

Following her outburst, Fox was then branded a 'dumb', 'ungracious', 'rude' and an 'unbearable' actress by crew members on the films.

The star was blasted as 'trailer trash' better suited to a porn career by three crew members.'

The furious crew members, who were not named, posted a long open letter to Megan on the director's official website and signed it 'Loyal Transformers Crew'.

In the scathing letter, which was posted on Michael's website, they described her acting as 'unbearable.'

In it, they tore into her as a second-rate Angelina Jolie who was disliked across the set for her diva-like behaviour.

The letter was removed from the site, but not before it was seen by thousands of fans.

'Michael found this shy, inexperienced girl, plucked her out of total obscurity thus giving her the biggest shot of any young actress's life,' they wrote.
